Back in May, Vision Support Services launched the Hilden Style Awards for the fourth year. The Awards opened to independent and small to medium establishments and sought to uncover venues that excelled in interior design and stylish experiences for their guests or residents.
This year saw a huge overhaul for the awards as we introduced brand new judges, brand new prizes and even a brand new category.
In recent years, Vision Support Services, the owners of the Hilden brand, have seen a huge increase in care homes owners wanting to create a stylish, fashionable space and introduce contemporary trending elements of décor into their healthcare establishments. So much so, that we thought it fitting to recognise this dedication to both style and function and created a new and exciting care home category.
Judging the Awards this year are Lucy Forsyth; Interior Design Specialist for Vision’s Healthcare division, Gemma Ralph; Deputy Editor of Hospitality Interiors magazine, Jeremy Tring; Editor of Eat.Drink.Sleep magazine, Ellie Tennant; Freelance Interior Design Journalist, Lee Birchall; Architect & Interior Designer for Bar/Restaurant and Victoria Hargreaves; Sales Manager for Vision’s Independent Hospitality division.
The Awards officially closed on 2nd September and, since then; our esteemed panel of judges have been working hard trying to whittle the numbers down to three finalists from each category.
The categories are:
- Most Stylish Independent Hotel or B&B
- Most Stylish Independent Restaurant
- Most Stylish Care Home
Now that the nine finalists have been chosen, the judges will deliberate over who is set to win the coveted prizes in each group. This year’s prizes include a whole host of goodies including: £500 to spend at Hilden.co.uk, a double page spread in the annual Hilden Style Guide (going out to over 75,000 readers), Nespresso coffee machine, Liddell bathrobes and a case of champagne along with a glass trophy and certificate celebrating the win!
