Now, without further ado, here are the winners of the Hilden Style Awards 2013!
1st – Glencoe House
It was a tough decision, but after some careful deliberation our judging team awarded the coveted first place position to Glencoe House, a magnificent mansion house tucked away in the highlands of Scotland. Our judges felt that the guestroom Glencoe submitted showed a real touch of class and sophistication that drew inspiration from the house’s history and setting. Dark woods compliment a clean, fresh bed setting and a gently patterned headboard surrounded by elegant furnishings and accessories that their entry image showcases perfectly. The lighting and glimpse of the lounge space to the left hand side were particular highlights.

2nd – The Traddock
Second place was awarded to a small hotel located in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales – The Traddock. They submitted an opulent guestroom that looks like it’d be right at home in the Palace of Versaille, incorporating rich woods alongside different tones of cream and gold, ruched curtains, a chandelier and sumptuous looking bed linen. What really caught our judges eyes though was the bath. Placing free-standing bath tubs in the heart of the guestroom is an emerging trend among hospitality establishments, and one that The Traddock has fully embraced to lend their most stylish guestroom a really luxurious atmosphere.
3nd – Hamiltons
Our judges awarded the third place position to Hamilton’s Boutique Hotel. Built cosily into a Grade II listed Georgian building on Southend’s historic Royal Terrace, the hotel has been lovingly restored to something warm, welcoming and steeped in history. Our judging panel thought their entry showcased this to its full potential. A feature wall of toile wallpaper overlooks a vintage inspired bedframe decorated with softly patterned cushions and bed linen. Oversized lamps accompany quirky bedside tables and a comfy armchair nestles in the corner of the image, adding a lovely finishing touch to the room.
While these top three entries were the ones that really stood out for our judges, there were still seventeen more to choose from a group of really great guestrooms. Here are the remaining entries that made the Hilden Style Awards top 20…
