Hilden Style Awards – a Selection of our Latest Entries

Updated on: August 19 2013

Remember our previous post highlighting a selection of Hilden Style Awards entries? We’ve received so many stylish guestrooms that we felt it only natural to showcase five more of our latest entries for your curiosity and inspiration! If you need a reminder of what the Hilden Style Awards are all about, we launched them on June 19th as a celebration of stylish cottages, B&Bs, guesthouses and small hotels right across the country. To find out more and even submit your own entry into the Style Awards, take a look at our entry form.

Now, on with our selection of entries!

Gilmore House, Perthshire

Gilmore House is a traditional Perthshire bed and breakfast that prefers not to boast about being ‘boutique’ or ‘luxury’. Comforting, welcoming and homey, the rich colours, curtained back wall and cosy bedding in their Style Awards entry really encapsulate what their B&B is all about.

Elm Grove Country House, Pembrokeshire

Set in a beautiful Georgian country house, Elm Grove Country House is a bed and breakfast that really embraces its history through its décor. Their most stylish guestroom incorporates flocked wallpaper, deep colours and antique furniture to bring their heritage to life.

The Stable Loft, Windermere

The Stable Loft says on its website that it is “a cosy retreat for couples wanting to escape the rat race.” Their Style Awards entry certainly looks that way, utilising sumptuous leather armchairs, a complimentary colour palette of neutral and plum tones and rustic wooden panels to create an intimate little getaway.

The Old School Dalleagles, East Ayrshire

The Old School Dalleagles is a converted primary school surrounded by Scotts pine, birch trees and rolling open fields. They chose their master bedroom as their stylish entry, a romantic retreat with an impressive chandelier, grand four poster bed and luxurious bed linen that could make any couple feel like they were sleeping in an old manor house.

The Cartford Inn, Preston

Nestled on the banks of the River Wyre, The Cartford Inn is a lovingly refurbished 17th century coaching inn that marries traditional décor with modern flourishes. Their most stylish guestroom pairs beautiful antique furniture with more neutral paintwork and a feature wall boasting unique tartan wallpaper that looks more like ruched fabric!

We have some good news for you all too! The closing date for Style Awards entries has now been extended to Friday 30th August, so there’s now even more time to submit your own guesthouse, cottage, bed and breakfast or small hotel for the chance to win some amazing prizes! To find out more about the Hilden Style Awards and to submit a picture of your most stylish guestroom for a chance to win, click here to be taken to our entry page.

Good luck!
