It’s been a week since we launched our Hilden Style Awards, a celebration of stylish bed and breakfasts, guest houses and small hotels right across the country. We couldn’t wait to see what kind of establishments all of our entrants owned, and can’t take our eyes off the stylish guestrooms we’ve received so far!
It was only natural then that we pick out a select few to share them with our loyal blog readers! And you never know, it might inspire you to submit your own stylish guestroom into the awards!
The Nags Head Inn, Garthmyl
The Nags Head Inn is a cosy small hotel in Wales. As well as an inviting place for friends and family to enjoy a hearty meal, it’s also home to some truly stylish boutique accommodation. Rich plum walls contrast with lovely gold lamps, off-white furniture, fresh white bedding and exposed floorboards to create a really sophisticated yet classic guestroom.
Nestled on the Scottish borders in a converted Victorian villa, this entry from the owners of holiday cottage Eildonside offers guests true style and comfort surrounded by breath taking views. Their neutral décor is complimented by chic black accessories, a plum armchair and a stunning fuchsia bed runner that prevent this guestroom from playing it too safe.
The Grange, Saint Austell
The Grange is a family run bed and breakfast in Cornwall. Providing the perfect base from which to head out and explore, it was only natural that this B&Bs most stylish guestroom exuded relaxation and luxury for when guests return. An impressive four poster bed frame, baroque bedside tables and splashes of deep colour create a sense of elegance that’s sure to soothe the soul.
Settle Holiday Cottage, Giggleswick
Nestled in the picturesque village of Giggleswick, near Settle, Settle Holiday Cottage is a home away from home providing great access to Malham Cove, the market town of Settle and the stunning Yorkshire Dales. Their Style Awards entry is a clean and quirky guestroom decorated with splashes of colour that, in turn, lend a subtle energy to the space.
The Cawdor Hotel, Carmarthenshire
The Cawdor Hotel is a Grade II listed Georgian building that makes the most of its rich history. Mixing both antique and contemporary decor throughout their guestrooms, restaurant and lounge, it’s a stylish Welsh gem that is the center of Carmarthenshire’s local community. Their Style Awards entry in particular brings together rich, earthy tones in a nod to Wales’ heritage. You can find out more about the Cawdor Hotel in July’s ‘Member Spotlight.’
Why not enter your own bed and breakfast, guest house or small hotel into the awards for the chance to win a double page spread in our Style Guide, a beautiful glass award, a Hilden bath linen bundle, the opportunity to feature in our brochures, and best of all, an iPad? Good luck!
