kerry bw image websiteWe’re on the hunt for the most stylish independent hospitality establishment in the UK and helping us choose the winners are five well-respected judges from across the industry.

As we count down to the closing date of the Hilden Style Awards we are speaking to each of our judges to find out what kind of entries they hope to see and what styles tickle their fancy. Today we’ve put our three questions to fourth judge, Kerry Adams, the Regional Chair of the UKHA, Yorkshire & NE.

Kerry Adams – Regional Chair of UK Housekeeping Association (UKHA) Yorkshire and North-East

Kerry has worked in housekeeping for over 30 years throughout the UK, West Indies, and Europe. Kerry’s role has meant that she has been able to work within the most stunning, five star properties across the globe; she currently works as the Executive Housekeeper at Doubletree by Hilton, Leeds.

Kerry has a real passion for promoting the profession of housekeeping, as well as developing, supporting and mentoring other younger housekeepers who are just beginning their careers in the field.

What made you decide to be a judge this year?

I made the decision to become a Judge to give something back to the Hospitality Industry and raise awareness of the UKHA.

What kind of entries are you looking for / do you hope to see?

I am hoping to see inspirational and innovative entries.

What is your interior design style?

My interior design style is modern with a funky twist.

If you think your establishment can impress Kerry, make sure you enter Hilden’s hospitality awards before midnight on 31st August 2015. To find out more about the Hilden Style Awards or to view the current entries visit the website now.
